Haul: how to bronze, tame frizzy locks & smell like a Parisian

There was a stage when I accumulated enough Space NK points to rival a beauty editor, my bank balance thanks me that this well and truly is a thing of the past. With a reformed attitude and in need of a few new products I popped into Space NK last week to pick up a few essentials, some of which aren't mentioned here (Diptyque candles here) which are heavenly in their own right, trust me.

Get the glow:

NARS, forever faithful. Forever dependable. I love how large this compact is, it's perfect to use with a large face brush; the amount of tiny bronzer palettes at premium prices just irritates me, so serious kudos to you Nars for creating a brilliant compact! You'll also importantly find the pigmentation is rich, deep and provides even coverage with a tiny glimmer. When I say tiny, I mean a small luxurious sheen not a toy makeup kit sparkle. Nasty. Find it (here).

Ps. I went for the shade Casino which is dark but it's fantastic to use just a little of and build up colour. The best seller is Laguna but it's just not dark enough for my skin. I'd rather apply a little of a darker shade than a lot of a lighter one.

Tame those frizzy locks:

I've always been an advocate for Kerastase, when everyone pledged allegiance to the Moroccan Oil serum (here) I stumbled onto the Kerastase oil (here) and never looked back. If you've been following the old blog you'll know I'm somewhat of an avid collector and user of Oribe products. Whilst these hair products are costly, they are crazy wonderful in effectively doing what they're supposed to do - if the bottle says it'll defrizz, trust me, it will defrizz. See here.

FYI, a little goes a long way; my bottles are used 3-4 times a week and haven't been replenished since February.

Introducing the Gold Lust nourishing oil. To put it simply, it nourishes, calms frizz and beautifully sets your hair for the day. Ugh it is just sheer genius! If you fancy a browse, reading the Space NK product reviews on their website proves very useful but I will be brutally honest, the Oribe product and Kerastase product are both equally as good; the only difference is price with the Kerastase Elixir weighing in at £28 and the Oribe at £45.

Spritz & smell like a Parisian:

Yes. I know what you're thinking. Seriously, did she buy another Jo Malone cologne? Like, really? Guilty, as charged. I smelt this beauty in Covent Garden and unexpectedly fell in love. Honestly, I'm not sure why I haven't given it a shot before.

Subtle, soft and unmistakably feminine French Lime Blossom embodies a scent I would describe as liquid cashmere (here). Jo Malone describe it as 'Early summer in Paris. Soft. Pretty. Powdery.' That my friends sums this beauty up in a nutshell, although I'll always prefer to think of it as a cashmere scent. It also pairs beautifully with my Mimosa & Cardamon body creme (here), just another reason to justify the purchase. Ahem. So yes, that's me off on my one way ticket to Jo Malone ban island.

No more, no more...well, until next year. 10 days to go, not that I'm counting or anything.
