Why Buy Organic Deodorant?
Armpits, deodorant and sweat: an excerpt of things I hadn't planned to blog, let alone passionately extol but here I am, getting nitty and gritty.
Let me cut to the chase, surprised and pleasantly proud I have found something I really encourage you to try.
When it comes to deodorant I've always picked up what's most effective at keeping perspiration at bay and also smells nice, but often these products have turned out to be the harshest.
After waxing or shaving, I find I'm often faced with hypersensitive/dry underarms, which not only doesn't feel good, it really doesn't look good. You'll know I've started addressing a lot of my eating habits in recent months and now I've finally started to approach other products from different angles.
Introducing, my new favourite life saver. This beauty is paraben-free, alcohol-free (which dries the skin: see here) and aluminium-free (see here). It's highly effective, ultra soothing, smells so beautifully natural and importantly - it actually works.
How much? It's only £5.79 from Holland & Barrett here (my favourite health food store) and you'll find they run a lot of offers allowing you to pick up another product for half the price. Failing that, check out Amazon for international shipping.
If you take the plunge, please let me know how you get on!
Ps. I have so many new recipe ideas, products and so much more swimming around the think tank that is my mind. Thank you Australia for embracing nature, organic products and taking wholesome eating/living seriously!

I have switched to a more "natural" deodorant too very recently, I use a roll-on deodorant from Lavera (they have lots of body creams/body butters/shower gels/shampoos etc etc). It really works, it doesn't have any smell which is nice for me. I got it at my local supermarket but they have it in bio/organic shops.
ReplyDeleteI must check that brand out, as I would love to pick up some shampoo, body lotion etc! Ah that is so soooo good they sell it at your supermarket, wish we could get things like that in ours. I also bought some organic and natural coconut moisturiser for my face and it is brilliant. It doesn't have the same effect as high end moisturisers like Creme de la Mer but is is really lovely, smells great, good consistency, causes no breakouts and is a budget friendly price point.
DeleteBasically - I am hooked and I should stop typing or I will go and buy more hehehehe :) xx
I was thinking of switching off to a natural deoderant due to irritations. Glad I found this article :)

In that case I definitely recommend it! I started using my deodorant and my mum also bought her own too because of irritation, she now has no problems at all and is an absolute convert.
DeleteIt's definitely worth trying for sure, it's just so gentle and calming on your skin especially if you have sensitive skin.
Thank you so much for commenting - if you do buy some and try it, let me know how you get on - I always love hearing what other people think about these sorts of things! :) xxx
